Almost nobody in this market publishes a price. One Cleveland contractor does, and this page runs those figures against Olmsted Falls — whose ordinance makes the homeowner, not only the contractor, answerable for where the snow ends up.
§ 660.22 is the clearest statement in the entire metro of the homeowner’s exposure for what a hired plow does. (a) no person removing snow “by hand or any motorized device” may deposit it on a public street, sidewalk, tree lawn or driveway except the premises it came from. (b) “No owner, occupant or person in control of the motorized device on the premises from which snow is so removed shall knowingly cause or allow any person, by hire or otherwise, to deposit such snow in violation of this section.” Consent of the receiving property owner is an affirmative defense.
Out here the season contract is a choice rather than a foregone conclusion. A west-side operator’s own average-winter figure of 16 snow removal occurrences applies to this ground directly; sixteen at $50 is $800, and the published season band is $550 to $1,250.
And the snowfall is genuinely lower, not slightly lower. Sheffield Lake came in at 20.1 inches in 2018–19, the lowest anywhere NWS measured that winter; North Ridgeville at 34.0 and 32.0 across two seasons, Westlake at 31.0. Those totals do not produce many two-inch events. Ask for both prices and work it out on paper — this is the part of the metro where that exercise can actually save you money.

Codified Ordinance § 660.05: snow and ice off the abutting walk, curb and gutter within a reasonable time ordinarily not exceeding 12 hours after any storm — tied for the tightest deadline in this service area. Minor misdemeanor.
§ 452.14, and it is fully self-executing — no declaration, no announcement, no sign required. The offense is simply parking on the traveled roadway when snow has accumulated to a depth of at least two inches. Drivers must also yield to city snow equipment and stay back 100 feet. Vehicles may be towed and impounded at the owner’s cost unless someone present can move them immediately.
§ 660.22 does something most of these ordinances do not: it reaches past the contractor to the homeowner. Subsection (a) bars depositing snow removed “by hand or any motorized device” anywhere but the premises it came from. Good news for the quote. A wide apron takes one push; the long rear driveways in Cleveland’s pre-1960 neighborhoods take several, with nowhere at the far end to put what comes off the blade.
