Almost nobody in this market publishes a price. One Cleveland contractor does, and a handful of secondary sources fill in the per-visit range — so this page prints those, names where each came from, and then says what moves the number in Elyria specifically. The seasonal band is east-side inner-ring pricing, from a contractor working Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights, University Heights and South Euclid. A snow-belt address would reasonably run higher and a far-west one lower — but nobody publishes those, so this site does not invent them. What it does instead is explain the gradient that moves the number.
A west-side Cleveland contractor states that its service is built on 16 snow removal occurrences in an average winter. That is a local operator’s own trigger count, and it is the only honest denominator available here — a published count of days with two inches or more does not exist for Cleveland, and this site will not manufacture one.
Sixteen pushes at $50 is $800. The published seasonal band is $550 to $1,250. Those two numbers sit on top of each other, which means a season contract in an average winter is roughly break-even, not a discount. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling.
The reason to buy one anyway is the winter that is not average. In 2022–23 Cleveland Hopkins finished at 22.7 inches, about forty below normal, and the snow-belt counties took 30 to 60 against normals of 70 to over 100. Then in late November 2024 a single lake-effect event put two to five feet across the snow belt in five days, at rates of one to three inches an hour. A season contract moves that spread onto the operator, and it buys route priority, which is the thing that actually matters at 6 a.m.
